News: PRACTICE LOCATION CHANGE Soccer Fall Season 2018 Update
Posted: Mon Sep 24, 2018 @ 1:53 AM

Hello Alachua Youth Soccer League Families,

Practices have moved back to Alachua Elementary School for 6U-11U players, with 14U at Mebane Middle School. This change goes in to effect immediately. The league apologies for any inconveniences  this may cause, but hope you will work with us to make this move as smooth as possible. Please use recent parking instructions for access to Alachua Elementary Fields (see Website recent news).

Pass the word. As always, please refer to Coach for final instructions as the information here is generalized.

Uniforms will be distributed at Thursday practices.

Thank you for your time and dedication to youth sports!

Weather Policy

Weather in our area is notoriously fickle. It can be bright and sunny at home, and storming at the field, or vice versa. And it can be pouring 20 minutes before practice, and clear in time.

Such is life in Florida.

That said, we will not play soccer in lightening conditions. We may delay or cancel play. We may also cancel or delay play for extreme wind or storm conditions. We will likely play in light rain.

If inclement weather is expected, the best source of information is your team coach. They should have contact information and will have made team arrangements for how information will be distributed. It is very rare for all practices or an entire Saturday game schedule to require cancellation. We do not routinely post general information to the entire league except in very extreme conditions (such as a tropical storm).
