REC CENTER FIELDS OPEN -- Soccer 2018 Season Update

Quick reminder: Fall 2018 Season Registration Ends Tomorrow - Friday 8.24.18. 

UPDATE: Starting TODAY and moving forward Fall Season Practices will be held at the Hal Brady Rec Center Fields. 

Download & print Fall 2018 Season Registration Forms or obtain from Hal Brady Rec Center.

AYSL FALL 2018 SOCCER SEASON INFORMATION

Hello Alachua Youth Soccer League Families!

Fall 2018 Soccer Season OPEN PRACTICE IN PROGRESS. Come join us Tuesdays and Thursdays between 6-8 pm (older players may have later start times).* Unsure of where to go? Find a coach on the field.

Fall Season Practices are held at the Alachua Elementary School Fields or the Mebane Middle School Fields.* NEW PARKING FOR PRACTICES: Players 11U/14U (unless at Mebane) use Bus Loop Entrance Parking Lot off of CR241 and enter by side gate at Outdoor Gym/Field. Players ages 4 to 8 years use the Main School Parking Lot off of Hwy 441 and enter by side gate to right of Cafeteria. NO FIELD ACCESS OFF OF NW 151st PLACE.

Fall Season Registration DEADLINE AUGUST 24TH. Fall 2018 Season ACTFOR Registration Regulations require all players submit a current photo, birth certificate, completed 2018 FALL REGISTRATION FORM, and fees NO LATER THAN AUGUST 24TH. Due to this new requirement LATE REGISTRATIONS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED.

Alachua Youth Soccer League Volunteers are to submit Player Photo ID Cards, linked to a Team Roster/Coach and Division to the ACTFOR committee for Fall 2018 Season Participation no later than August 24th. Taking this into consideration please register as soon as possible! Do not wait to get the forms home in a folder from school. PRINT 2018 REGISTRATION FORMS HERE, complete, bring photo and birth certificate to practice or turn in to the Hal Brady Recreation Center (not to be confused with the Legacy Center).

Don't forget: to bring a ball, WATER, and to dress appropriately (shin guards and cleats!). SEE YOU ON THE FIELD!

Weather Policy

Weather in our area is notoriously fickle. It can be bright and sunny at home, and storming at the field, or vice versa. And it can be pouring 20 minutes before practice, and clear in time. 

Such is life in Florida.

That said, we will not play soccer in lightening conditions. We may delay or cancel play. We may also cancel or delay play for extreme wind or storm conditions. We will likely play in light rain.

If inclement weather is expected, the best source of information is your team coach. They should have contact information and will have made team arrangements for how information will be distributed. It is very rare for all practices or an entire Saturday game schedule to require cancellation. We do not routinely post general information to the entire league except in very extreme conditions (such as a tropical storm).

So, how do I get to see my kid's team??

To view the pages for a particular team, you need a login ID, AND your login ID has to be associated with a member of that team. This is not quite the same as you joining the team.
**Change** Team homepages are available to everyone (including grandparents, friends, and neighbors...) upcoming events will be visible as soon as the schedules are loaded.

A team is made up of players, and each one can be associated with a login ID. The login ID is also associated with a person, who may or may not actually be part of a team.

If you only have one child, you can use either your name or your child's name for your login identification. In fact, if you use the same email address we have from your child's registration when you create your site login, you should automatically have that player associated with the login, and be able to see that team page.

If you have more than one child, things are a little more complicated (but if you have more than one child, you already knew that...). The simplest way to link a login with a player is from a player join invitation email. When you respond to such an email, and use the login you have already created (don't create a new one), the player is linked with your account. So how do you get an invite? Send an email from the contact us link with your child's name and team. If you request to join a team, we will try to match the email to a member of the team and send a player invite.
